MiotoRent ("we", "us") operates a car rental booking website in Vietnam, connecting you with vehicles listed by their owners on the Mioto marketplace. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Data we collect
Account data: your name and phone number.
Driving licence: photos of your driving licence (front and back), used to verify you’re eligible to rent a car.
Booking data: pickup/return city, dates, the car you selected, and the price paid.
Payment data: our payment provider (NOWPayments) processes your payment; we do not store your card or crypto wallet details ourselves.
Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, and cookies for language preference ("lang"), referral tracking ("ref") and sign-in ("access_token"), plus Google Analytics for aggregate site usage.
How we use your data
To create and manage your account and bookings.
To verify your driving licence is valid, as required to complete a rental.
To process payments and refunds.
To contact you about your booking, or respond to support requests.
To improve the site, using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
Who we share it with
Mioto — the marketplace that lists the cars. Completing a booking requires sharing your name, phone number, driving licence and trip details with Mioto, since the rental itself takes place on their platform.
NOWPayments — our payment processor, to complete your payment.
Google Analytics — anonymised usage statistics.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time by contacting support (see below). Deleting your account may prevent you from completing bookings already in progress.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
